Vincent Street Reno
completed 2020
A true example of a timeless kitchen with the added bonuses of today’s modern accessories. With the homeowner’s strong vision in mind, we maintained workflow, storage and seating whilst always considering esthetics. Featuring multi-purpose counter surfaces, and a hidden appliance wall for all the gadgets that go along with today’s kitchens, this small but mighty space is ready to handle whatever this family throws at it all while keeping the classic charm we love so much.
Implementation Style
The focus on this project was to prioritize function while still maintaining the character of an older home. First was the layout. With a tight floor plan to consider, we came up with the idea of building an island directly off the fridge area. This allowed for more seating and counter space while eliminating the need for more walkways. An awkward drywall stack forced us to be creative, and in turn, created one of our favorite spots in this kitchen —a custom arched nook, perfect as a display area. Glass doors, decorative moldings and door profiles, were the icing on the cake in this design. Today, this is still one of our favorite kitchens and we believe we can stand by that statement for years to come.

We were referred to Blackstone through a contractor friend and knew from the very first meeting with Erica that we had found the right fit.
Erica’s professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to our design ideas was so appreciated. Her floor plan provided so much storage and a beautiful and natural flow; her communication was superb throughout our entire project; and we so appreciated that she was able to work within our tight timeline.
