Simeon Street Reno
completed 2020
We had the pleasure working alongside a family of 5 to complete this kitchen. Maximizing storage was the key for this space and creative solutions like cabinet accessories, cabinets to the counters and increasing island storage, allowed us to achieve this. With the desire to blend multiple finishes, we found the perfect “soft-contrast” tones while including a couple pops of black to create a dynamic yet cohesive look.

Implementation Style
This smaller space forced us to be intentional with every inch of storage while keeping budget in mind. After discovering a required bulkhead that we designed to perfectly line up with the fridge, the rest of this layout fell together. The overall style was to be classic, however to avoid a “one note” feeling, we decided to play with multiple tones and finishes, both in the cabinets and hardware. Keeping the backsplash the same as the counters allowed us to incorporate these multiple colours without making the space feel overwhelming. Each finish was repeated within this overall kitchen for a cohesive look that we love.

As part of our remodel/addition we worked with Blackstone to design our dream kitchen. After removing a wall from our galley kitchen to make it more open concept we wanted to make sure the new kitchen design didn’t compromise storage space. Working with Erica she had lots of great ideas to maximize this in our small Kitchen. She also listened to our ideas/suggestions and incorporated them into the final design while still keeping us on budget. We would highly recommend anyone looking to do custom cabinetry to consider Blackstone for their project as we were very pleased with the process from beginning to end and love our new kitchen. 🙂
